Independent developer Lingon Studios has officially announced Moose Builders, an open-world voxel automation and factory-building game coming to Steam. Melding the satisfying loop of resource processing with a unique tier-merging mechanic and online co-op, Moose Builders invites players to step into the hooves of a moose engineer to turn a vast, barren desert into a thriving, solar-powered industrial empire.
In Moose Builders, players begin with nothing but a shovel and a dream. By digging up sand and stone, players utilize crushers, filtering machines, and furnaces to process raw materials into essential components like iron, silicon, copper, and aluminum. The ultimate goal? Constructing solar panels to generate enough green energy to expand a fully automated, three-dimensional factory.
A core mechanic of the game is its intuitive merging system: players can combine four identical tools or machines into a single, upgraded version. Merging tools expands their digging radius, while merging machines drastically increases their processing speed. Combined with pipes for item logistics and lava extractors for automated ground-resource harvesting, players can design sprawling vertical factories across a massive 64km² voxel world.
