Indie studio Oddiko unveiled an ale-soaked new trailer for their upcoming 1-4 player tavern sim/action hybrid Meadgard. Grab a tankard, your nearest goblin-bashing implement, and three fellow Vikings – Valhalla is calling, and the gods expect a feast!
In the demo, you’ll board your longship and venture into the wilds with your beardy companions to source ingredients to satisfy your impatient customers’ whims. Hack wild boar into chops, liberate supplies from greedy trolls, and dodge swarms of mischievous nissar. Hoof it back to safety with your delectable haul and get ready to put on a glorious banquet.
On your return from raiding, it’s time for your party to face the horde of hungry, irritable barbarians otherwise known as your patrons. Slake their thirst with gallons of mead, fill their bellies with the recipes you’ve learned, and entertain them with some tuneful lute plucking.
You’ll eventually earn a visit from a member of the Norse pantheon themselves. Make their stay a memorable one or incur their wrath – thunderbolt scorches are a nightmare to get out of carpet.
When your ragtag crew of innkeepers has a moment to breathe you can upgrade your tavern, sow crops, concoct strange brews, or just spruce the place up with some nifty cosmetics. Who says a refuge for battleworn berserkers can’t be cozy?
